Salman Khan’s Close Associate Receives Threatening Email; Bishnoi Gang Angle Under Police Probe

A close associate of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently received a threatening email that has sparked alarm in the film industry and prompted a police investigation. According to reports, the email – sent to someone closely connected with Salman – came from an individual claiming affiliation with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The message reportedly demanded large sums of money and contained a menacing tone, warning of serious consequences if the demands weren’t met. Law enforcement agencies have taken the matter seriously and are examining the email as part of a broader probe into possible extortion targeting figures connected with Bollywood.

This incident follows a series of unsettling threats in recent days that have put several high-profile personalities on edge. Just before the email to Salman’s associate surfaced, actor Ranveer Singh received a threatening WhatsApp voice note in which crores of rupees were allegedly demanded by someone claiming links to the same gang. Authorities responded by increasing security around Ranveer’s residence while investigations continue.

The current wave of extortion attempts comes on the heels of other high-profile events that have raised safety concerns in the industry, including an earlier shooting incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s home. Police are now in alert mode, closely monitoring mobile locations and other digital footprints around various celebrity addresses to track down suspects.

While formal complaints and FIRs are yet to be confirmed publicly in this specific email case, officials have acknowledged the seriousness of these threats and are working to uncover any connections with organised criminal activity linked to the Bishnoi network.
